[Aura] @ FaMESHed

Happy 4th of July to all my fellow Americans, hope you’re having a great day and celebrating with loved ones!  I just came in from the sun myself and thought “OMG I need to blog that dress!”

FaMESHed came out with a new round a few days ago, and this dress from [Aura] has been one of my favorite things. I love it.  The colors are perfect for summer, and the styling with the bloused top and wide belt is just gorgeous.

The Megan hair from Wasabi Pills is also new at FaMESHed and is a really sweet top pulled ponytail.  Has a hud to change the rubber band color and is a compliment to the dress!

New at Mon Tissu!

I couldn’t wait to run over to {mon tissu} this morning and grab the newness.  Beautiful sundresses and great casuals perfect for your next day on the beach or evening with friends.  I’ve been so busy this week, without a lot of time to do pictures, but I had to blog this.  So the pictures are mostly unprocessed, just cropped and a filter or two applied.

The Seaside sundress with its sleek fitted bodice and pleated skirt has a bit of a retro feel that could be dressed up or down.  It comes in great refreshing colors and patterns and would be a perfect wardrobe staple.

The Slouchy Sweatshirt and Hanalei shorts are fantastic!  Great for on the dock, at the mall, or anywhere else.  Love the detailing on the sweatshirts!  And I HAD to have the anchor shorts.  Because…  I’m a little silly for nautical designs.  And have you seen these wedges from Celoe?  These are by far my favorite wedge sandals this season.

Mesh Around – Sakide

Wow is the Mesh Around Hunt going strong and in full steam.  I thought today, I’d grab Maci and I’d show you one (really two!) of my favorite sweet dresses!  The Night and Day gift from Sakide!

This is the sweet floral print Daytime dress.  A lot of extras with this gift including Shoes (Not shown) for both dresses!  The skin I am wearing here is the limited addition Mia skin from Glam Affair for the CHIC2 event!  It’s so stunning!

This is the Night time version in sexy black and modeled by our gorgeous cupcake Maci.

But that’s not all!  I’d love to call your attention to these sexy, sultry, summery PINK nails!  These are not a part of the hunt, but they are the newest release by Synthetique.  15 Gorgeous shades of pinks on one hud!  You know a really cool thing about Synthetique nails?  If you already own a pair, and buy a second, you don’t need to remove the nails and put the new ones on.  And Synthetique hud will work with the Synthetique nails you’re wearing.  So convenient.  This is my favorite brand of nails now, and I don’t wear anything else!

Valentina E. Couture – The new mesh in town!

Valentina E. Couture is a new shop dedicated to couture mesh clothing.  Just opened today, and these dresses will be instant classics.  There are a total of 6 new dresses each with 2 variations.  I’m going to do a couple posts on this shop in the next few days, just because…  you know…  I can.

Shown above: Silk & Chiffon dress in olive

This dress is all mesh but made up of 3 separate parts.  One thing I think this does well, is that it allows for separate movement of the top and bottom layers.  I love the translucent chiffon.

Shown above:  Strapless Gown in Floral Lilac

Simple and elegant, yet soft and flowing, this strapless dress is fun to wear.  It comes in beautiful colors and is a great addition to any spring wardrobe collection!

March Mesh Madness… is "MMM" Good!

So if you haven’t been to the March Mesh Madness event, you’re missing great new releases from GOS, Jane, ColdLogic, Maxie Gossamer, Weather, Rustica, Organica and many, many more.  The sim is set up in a very simple easy to follow pattern and with very clean lines, it’s bright and made with good colors. All of which to added to the shopping experience for me.  (So big thank you to the designer/coordinator!)

Word has it that Maci is going to be sharing some incredible Mesh hotness from the MMM event sometime later today…  Should be a great post, and I for one, can’t wait!

*Complaint warning*
As SL Events go, it is laggy, and busy.  These things are to be expected at events generally, and not worth complaining about.  BUT… I wish more events would have a script rule where you had to be wearing 60 scripts or less (like the sins event was) because the amount of rude and/or clueless people I encountered on both my visits to MMM was astounding.  I have to wonder if people realize that being covered in flexi, carrying a prim child, wearing your talking pregnancy hud and being a blingtard can effect the sim load, and the level of lag.  *sighs*  Personally, I try to do my part and take off most of my huds, wear static hair, scriptless shoes and a plain t-shirt and jeans.  My opinion is that if you can’t bear to be seen without your gigantic curly flexi hair and your ball gown, then wait until the event is nearly over and the sim is no longer packed.  Ok enough!  Off of my soapbox.  *End Complaint*

So…  On to a couple of quick goodies!

Spring is on it’s way here in the states, and Jane is sending us some adorable mesh goodness!  This dress called “Kelsey” (Shown in quarry) comes in a number of colors and is simply sweet.  I kept the look pared down, but this would be really cute with a scarf!  For the shoes I went with G*Field “Alex” in Icy Blue Suede.

It’s all about the boots baby!  GOS has released a fab new boot called “Triumph” (Shown here in the up position, color Massai with the Burberry lining).  When you buy the boots they come in rigged and unrigged.  If you want to wear one boot up and one boot folded over, in the down position (not shown), you will need to unpack the unrigged version.  The hud for the rigged version is easy to use, and hopefully we’ll see some add on features (like more ribbon colors?!) added in the future.

Epoch does Escher!

The Epoch fair is wonderful!  Three sections each devoted to a different theme.  Beast, Clowning and Art of Escher.  This post highlights some of my favorite finds from the “Art of Escher.”  If you’re not familiar with the Art of M.C. Escher you can click that link and go directly to his official web page.

This dress from Willow is called “The Picard Dress” and the detailing on it is just lovely.  It was one of the first things I spotted in the Escher section.

The houndstooth “MCEHT” leggings from Maitreya are hot, hot, hot.  Maitreya also has a dress and several accessories (not shown) offered in this same pattern for the event.  The ring (Shown on my hand and in the insert) and the Jacket are both from the Beast section of the Epoch event.  The ring is from Pididdle who is also offing a brilliant mesh mask in the same design (not shown.)  The jacket is from Pivaaca, a shop completely new to me!  I’m totally going to be checking them out in the future!  The jacket is called “Dear my gentle beast” and is shown in Black Panther.

This dress from Epoque called Metamorphosis features a mesh panel skirt inset and comes in three colors (Black, Red and Flesh). I have loved this shop for a long time, and totally wish they would make more hair!  They do it all from glamorous clothing, accessories and hair.  I’ve never been disappointed with a purchase there, and I just love when I see a new release from them!

Not so Bad…. is pretty damn good!

Not so Bad has entered the realm of SL fashion.  Well known for their prefab houses, sky boxes, and furniture this new venture is every bit as detailed and as perfectly executed as you would expect from Not so Bad.

Sophisticated, casual clothing with beautiful textures.  The jeans are fantastic. Skinny jeans with a hipster flair this is one pair you might not want to take off.  They come in 6 colors.  I was so impressed I bought both fatpacks of these!

There is something about good quality clothing; mesh in particular.  Quality mesh moves and wears differently than lesser goods.  For me, this is one of those areas where you really do seem to get what you paid for.  The bag in this pic is from Fishy Strawberry, a past TDR purchase, I’ve been looking to use it in a post for a while, and this seemed perfect!

This first release is impressive, I can’t wait to see what else they come up with! Perfect for when I’m feeling relaxed and casual.

One of the things we love about mesh is how it moves with the AV and visually *feels* like clothing.  And while I wouldn’t normally chose such a pose for the blog, I think this illustrates the clothing’s ability to move very well.  NsB has really gone to the park with their A-Game.  As a lover of quality clothing, I will certainly be waiting for their next release.  (And they didn’t even pay me to say it!)

Style Card:
Shirts: Not so Bad – Kate (Shown in both Black & Grey and Blue)
Jeans: Not so Bad – Jane (Shown in Dirty, Faded and Black)
Belt: Not so Bad – Jane Belt
Skin: Glam Affair – Linn (Natural)
Hair (updo): Epoque – Brunch Queen
Hair (long): Lelutka – Yippie (mesh)
Shoes: Abyss – Slow Rider (Black Leather)
Earrings: Earthstones – Gypsy (Black Pearl)
Handbag: Fishy Strawberry – Barcelona Bag (Black)
